Job Title: Water & Wastewater Operations Lead
Reports To: Superintendent of Water & Wastewater Operations
FLSA Status: Non-exempt (hourly)
Wage: $35.00 – 40.00/hour depending on qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, employee assistance program, life insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid time off, retirement plan, vision insurance.

Meridian Service Metro District is recruiting for a full-time Water & Wastewater Operations Lead to perform a variety of oversight duties relating to maintenance & operations of treatment & collection facilities in the District’s water & sewer systems.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
· Serves as Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) of wastewater collection, lift station, and conveyance facilities in accordance with regulations of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
· Oversees the operations and maintenance of the sewer lift station, metering manholes, and discharge control vaults.
· Maintains and operates the sewer collection system, sewer force mains, including manholes, pipes, and outfalls.
· Samples water as required per Intergovernmental Agreements with state and local area governments.
· Inspects grease traps and new home water and sewer systems installation.
· Assists with preparation and management of wastewater preliminary budgets.
· Operates and maintains non-potable transfer systems; and underdrain infiltration pits and systems; and water infiltration systems, including monthly monitoring and seasonal influx with increased monitoring.
· Oversees or participates in sewer line maintenance.
· Maintains monthly and annual flow totals logs.
· Reviews and provides input regarding construction plans and observes construction of sewer facilities.
Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess or acquire State of Colorado Class 2 Collection Operator Certificate; Colorado Water Distribution Operator Level 2 and Colorado Water Treatment Operator Level C are desirable. Experience with equipment including lift station with primary wastewater treatment; pumps; electrical motors; light equipment such as backhoe and skip loader; water wells, sewer vac truck and utility trucks with cranes.
Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities: Demonstrated proficiency reading and processing SCADA data; understanding of environmental issues, programs, and regulations; ability to communicate in a positive and friendly manner with coworkers and the public.
Driver’s License: Possess, or obtain upon hire, and maintain a valid Colorado Class B commercial driver's license.

Job Title: Irrigation & Landscape Technician
Reports To: Parks & Grounds Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-exempt (hourly)
Wage: $17.25 – $25.50/hour depending on qualifications
Meridian Ranch, located in Falcon, CO, is a growing recreation & golf course community dedicated to delivering the highest quality amenities, including landscaped parkways, tree-lined trails, and numerous neighborhood parks. Meridian Service Metro District is recruiting for a full-time Irrigation Technician to perform construction, maintenance, and repair of District parks, irrigation, sedimentation basins, and drainage channels.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Maintains and ensures proper operation of automated irrigation systems to include mainline, laterals, valves, sprinkler heads, and systems used to deliver water to irrigated areas.
- Adjusts irrigation systems based on plant material needs, changes, or maintenance enhancement activities.
- Tracks and maintains inventory of supplies related to parks and grounds maintenance, and assists with improvement recommendations, repairs, and review of new installation plans prior to the bidding process.
- Locates irrigation systems from utility locate requests in existing and new construction areas.
- Enhances landscape, including tree and shrub replacement, sod & mulch installation and removal, and seeding of bare ground areas.
- Removes snow at district facilities to include trails and walks.
- Repairs and maintains fences, to include stone repair.
- New landscaping or playground construction installation from start to final punch list.
- Installs seasonal decorations and supports event staff as needed.
- Assists with repairs to recreation facilities, but not be limited to painting, stone veneer repair, minor plumbing, and general facility maintenance.
Qualifications: Demonstrated experience maintaining and operating automated irrigation systems and performing other related grounds maintenance duties. Two to four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is desirable.
Education/Experience: Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in a related field is desirable but not required.
Driver’s License: Possess, or obtain upon hire, and maintain a valid Colorado driver's license.

Job Title: Childcare Associate
Reports To: Childcare Coordinator
Wage: $13.65 – $15.26/Hour
Benefits: This is a part-time position, generally working less than 28 hours per week. Benefits include paid sick leave accrued at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, and extra pay for work on certain designated holidays.
In Falcon - Meridian Service Metropolitan District is recruiting for a part-time Childcare associate. Responsibilities include engaging, supervising, and caring for children ages 6 weeks – 6 years old in the childcare center within the Meridian Ranch Recreation Center.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Cares for children in a defined area of the recreation center.
- Organizes and participates in children’s’ recreational activities such as games.
- Reads to children, and teaches them simple painting, drawing, crafts, and songs.
- Care for special needs children.
- Organizes, cleans, and stores toys and materials.
- Must portray a fun and energetic demeanor.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Previous experience supervising and caring for children.
Certificates and Licenses:

Meridian Service Metro District is recruiting for a full-time Senior Water & Wastewater Operator to perform a variety of oversight duties relating to maintenance & operations of treatment & collection facilities in the District’s water & sewer systems.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Serves as certified operator in responsible charge (ORC) of water supply, treatment, and distribution operations; in accordance with the State of Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Regulations.
- Oversees the operation of the water treatment facility, to include chemical dosing, well water testing, and well level adjustment for start and stop operation.
- Purchases chemicals for the treatment process as well as any needed chemicals used in testing of the water whether automatic testing or daily manual tests.
- Samples water as required by Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
- Tracks pumping rates, volumes and water quality of water wells.
- Maintains monthly and annual water volume and usage logs.
- Installs and reads water meters as needed.
- Reviews and provides input regarding construction plans and observes construction of water facilities.
- Prepares and manages water preliminary budgets.
- Inspects and maintains storage reservoirs and tanks; system wide valves; and fire hydrants, including flushing of lines to prevent stagnant water.
- Inspects new home water and sewer systems installation, and residential water and sewer lines as requested.

- Maintains, reports, and cleans up for storm drainage improvements.
- Assists with construction inspections of new water and sewer mains and service laterals.
- Assists with locating and marking District underground utilities for proposed construction.
Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and some related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess or obtain after employment Colorado water distribution operator certification, Level 1; Colorado water treatment operator certification, level D; Colorado wastewater collection system operator certification, Level 2.
