Allison Sands
Originally from California, my husband Ben and I moved to Meridian Ranch from Northern Virginia in 2022. We have three adult children (one living in Colorado Springs) and five grandchildren.
In 2022, I retired after a 35- year career with the Department of Defense. I served on active duty as an Air Defense Officer, leading organizations of various sizes, then became a Department of Defense civilian where I rose through various Installation Management and Support positions. I was ultimately promoted to the Senior Executive Service, where I served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Infrastructure. In this position, I was responsible for strategic management of the Department's worldwide real property portfolio (land and facilities) valued at ~$8 billion.
I have also enjoyed supporting my local communities. While living in Virginia, I served as President of my Homeowner's Association for five years, spent three years as the Operations Director for a local swim club, and volunteered in the local soccer (coach) and baseball (manager) leagues for several years.
I became a member of the Meridian Service Metro District Board of Directors in 2025.
