After graduation from the University of Wisconsin in Landscape Architecture and Planning, I moved to Colorado in 1976. Having traveled much of the United States prior to graduation, I chose to move to Colorado because of the recreational opportunities, the military connections, the economics, construction and development opportunities.  My career began in construction with Sanford Homes, a major builder in the Denver Metro area.  In a short period of time, I became the resident landscape architect and planner for all Sanford multifamily projects, open space and recreational facilities, ultimately leading into residential development.  I have held construction licenses in Denver, Aurora, El Paso County Regional, a federal horticulture and certified soils tester license. My career has taken me on a variety of construction and development projects and challenges.  My professional journey took me from ski hill town homes in Breckenridge, to the custom home communities in Evergreen, urban renewal in Cherry Creek, development in Greenwood Village, Castle Pines, El Paso County (Woodmen Hills and Meridian Ranch) and many more too numerous to mention. Thousands of lots, homes, acres of development, the financing of millions of dollars of infrastructure and amenities. The prosperous communities that I have been part of have taught me what the anatomy of a quality community consists of and I count Meridian Ranch as one of those.

For the past twenty-four years I have served on the metropolitan district boards of Meridian Ranch.  Prior to the conception of the boards as a subcontractor for the developer, I was involved in county approvals for the development plans, service plan and ultimately the district formation.  As development construction manager, I supervised the early phases of Meridian Ranch and the supporting infrastructure of sewer and water treatment plants, wells, water storage and recreation facilities.  I continue to serve on the board because Meridian Ranch has become personally meaningful to me.  Watching it grow and thrive has been much like watching one of your own children grow up.

I have been retired for several years and my wife (of 48 years) and I have three grown children who all live here in Colorado.

I love what has been created at Meridian Ranch and look forward to nothing but the best for this community.
