Accounts Payable Clerk (External posting) 

Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk                            Classification Number: 5-010

Reports To: Accounting Supervisor                          FLSA Status: Non-exempt

ACA Status (PT or FT): Full Time                            Pay Range: $20-25 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

·         Performs day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payable data.

·         Maintains accounts payable files to include filing invoices and updating vendor information.

·         Matches contracts and packing slips to bills to ensure accuracy and makes daily computer entries.

·         Prepares payment register with appropriate supporting documentation.

·         Monitors paperwork, invoices, correspondence and verbal communication with vendors.

·         Prepares and prints accounts payable reports, analyzes discrepancies, and recommends actions.

·         Researches and responds to accounts payable inquiries in a prompt manner.

·         Assists with preparing monthly reconciliations for the District’s bank and credit accounts.

·         Assists in the preparation of reports as required to comply with financial reporting regulations.

·         Applies knowledge of accounting principles on a regular basis.

·         Assists as necessary with audit preparation, budget preparation, and improvements to accounting systems.

·         Tracks expenses and processes expense reports.

·         Maintains accounting computer system to include troubleshooting problems.

·         Coordinates with contracted service providers.

·         Provides occasional backup to other administrative staff and Accounts Receivable processing as necessary.

·         Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience: Associate’s degree in a related field preferred, as well as some formal accounting training. Three years’ related experience required.

Landscape Technician (External posting) 

Job Title:  Landscape Technician

Reports To: Parks & Grounds Manager

FLSA Status: Non-exempt (hourly)

Wage: $18.09 – $26.74/hour depending on qualifications

 Meridian Ranch, located in Falcon, CO, is a growing recreation & golf course community dedicated to delivering the highest quality amenities, including landscaped parkways, tree-lined trails, and numerous neighborhood parks. Meridian Service Metro District is recruiting for a full-time Landscape Technician to perform construction, maintenance, and repair of District parks, irrigation, sedimentation basins, and drainage channels.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Maintains and ensures proper operation of automated irrigation systems to include mainline, laterals, valves, sprinkler heads, and systems used to deliver water to irrigated areas.
  • Adjusts irrigation systems based on plant material needs, changes, or maintenance enhancement activities.
  • Tracks and maintains inventory of supplies related to parks and grounds maintenance, and assists with improvement recommendations, repairs, and review of new installation plans prior to the bidding process.
  • Locates irrigation systems from utility locate requests in existing and new construction areas.
  • Enhances landscape, including tree and shrub replacement, sod & mulch installation and removal, and seeding of bare ground areas.
  • Removes snow at district facilities to include trails and walks.
  • Repairs and maintains fences, to include stone repair.
  • New landscaping or playground construction installation from start to final punch list.
  • Installs seasonal decorations and supports event staff as needed.
  • Assists with repairs to recreation facilities, but not be limited to painting, stone veneer repair, minor plumbing, and general facility maintenance.

Qualifications: Demonstrated experience maintaining and operating automated irrigation systems and performing other related grounds maintenance duties. Two to four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is desirable.

Education/Experience: Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in a related field is desirable but not required.

Driver’s License: Possess, or obtain upon hire, and maintain a valid Colorado driver's license.

ACA Status (PT or FT): Full Time                                   Pay Range: $31.01-35.67 per hour

Responsibilities are related to construction, maintenance, and repair of District parks, irrigation, sedimentation basins, and drainage channels.

1.   Maintains and operates various systems for water and sewer.

2.   Maintains water wells.

3.   Maintains water diversion structure.

4.   Maintains water tanks.

5.   Performs light system repairs.

6.   Works with chemicals and chemical storage.

7.   Tests water quality and takes water and wastewater samples for lab testing.

8.   Removes snow.

9.   Maintains, reports, and cleans up for storm drainage improvements.

10. Performs construction inspections of new water and sewer mains and service laterals.

11. Locates and marks District underground utilities.

12. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates and Licenses: Possess or obtain upon hire:

·         Colorado water distribution operator certification, Level 3

·         Colorado water treatment operator certification, level C.

·         Colorado wastewater collection system operator certification, level 2 or above.
